Olly Murs has revealed his truly impressive physique transformation as he worked to get fitter than ever after recovering from a knee injury.
The Dear Darling singer, 38, suffered the injury while performing on stage in August 2021 when he jumped during his second song and dislodged a bone fragment from his leg which then became lodged in his knee.
The injury is painful enough to even imagine, let alone the experience – but Trooper Olly not only finished the song but the show as a whole, hobbling through the rest of his set list.
While trying as hard as he could, Olly was forced to cancel the remainder of his tour that year after being hospitalized with another knee operation.
Over a year after the injury, the former X Factor star has revealed how he’s been working on his fitness as he swears his bad knee won’t stop him [bouncing] around on stage.’
Taking to Instagram, Olly shared an extremely impressive comparison of him before he started his fitness rush and now – with a brand new six pack and a toned and muscular physique.
Sharing the photo with his four million followers, Olly wrote, “Put on some positive pants and get on with the day 😅💪🏻👌🏻.”
Staying positive, Olly explained: “The fact is my knee will never be normal again but it won’t stop me from bouncing around on stage or in life. You know who I am and I won’t stop in front of anyone! ‘
He teased, “I hope you’re ready for the madness because I am!”
The Voice judge has often shared clips of himself working out on social media since starting his health rush, making him the perfect partner for his fiancée – bodybuilder Amelia Tank.
Olly recently asked Amelia to marry him while they enjoyed a romantic beach vacation together after first meeting in 2019.
And the star is back in good health after being forced to cancel shows this summer and said he was “burned out” at having to do so.
“I had to have major new knee surgery again this week 🤦🏻♂️😩 tried my best to avoid it but the surgery was necessary and it went well,” he wrote on Instagram at the time.
“I’m recovering in the hospital but that means I have to cancel all of my summer shows this year while I focus on my rehab…” I’m so damn sorry but my focus right now is on recovering and I am will keep you all updated on how I’m doing!’
As he said goodbye, he teased, “Keep cheeky, we’ll catch you soon.”
